LED screen for a church: purchase, installation and service for parishes

We sell and install LED screens in churches and parish halls in Warsaw and across Poland. For the nave we choose ICON 3.9 IP because the pews are far away; the picture comes from your computer via HDMI.

Short answer: which LED screen for a church

In a church, distance rules: the front pews are close, the back ones far away, and the screen has to be readable for everyone. For an LED screen in a church (often called a church big screen) we choose ICON 3.9 IP: FOS gives a viewing distance of 4 m for it, and at greater distances the finer pitch of ICON 2.6 is unnecessary.

You buy a complete screen from us (cabinets, structure, power and processor), and we install and service it in Warsaw and across Poland. We take the picture from your computer via HDMI, so you run hymn lyrics, readings and presentations in the software you already use. For a parish hall, see LED screen for a conference room; the whole range is described on the FOS ICON LED screens page.

Settings: indoor, nearest viewer at 10 m, stands; the configurator picks ICON 3.9 IP. Free, PDF sheet.

3–4 mICON 2.62.6 mmfinest pitch, indoor only; per FOS from 3 m, closer up the pixel grid shows

The screen size grows in 0.5 m steps (50 × 50 cm cabinet). ICON 3.9 IP has 128 × 128 px per cabinet, so a 4 × 2.5 m screen has 1024 × 640 px: enough for large text of hymns, readings and announcements, but not a resolution for Full HD video (that needs 7.5 × 4.5 m). In the configurator you see the screen to scale with a human silhouette and a 16:9 frame, so you can see straight away how much space a presentation will take.

Brightness and colour in a bright interior

Windows in the nave let in plenty of daylight, and ICON 3.9 IP has 4,500 nits, so the picture does not wash out; after dark you dim the brightness in 256 steps. You can set the screen's colour temperature within 3,000–10,000 K so that the white matches the nave lighting, and we calibrate colour and brightness across the cabinets at commissioning.

Installation in a church: stand, hanging, wall

A cabinet weighs 8 kg, the screen 32 kg of panels per m². It is a light structure, but the mounting method is decided by the load capacity of the substrate:

  • Stand on the floor: a FOS LWS structure (2.11, 3.11 or 4.11 m) with a base and counterweight, with no drilling into the wall; an ICON screen must never be left free-standing, and the weights are bought separately. We select the structure, ballast and floor load after the site survey.
  • Hanging: columns of up to 20 cabinets (10 m) with a safety cable, on the building's load-bearing points.
  • Chancel wall, pillar, choir loft: we design the mounting individually after checking load capacity and service access.

In a listed building, check the requirements with the heritage conservation officer before you order anything. Installation is carried out by qualified technicians.

Power and picture source

The NovaStar VX600 Pro processor accepts the picture via HDMI and SDI (computer, video mixer, camera) and from a flash drive (USB 3.0). It runs at a noise level of 45 dB(A) (typical), so we install it away from the pews: in the sacristy, in the choir loft or in a technical cabinet. An Ethernet cable under 120 m is enough to reach the screen.

We design the power supply for maximum power: 600 W per m². A 4 × 2.5 m screen (10 m²) draws up to 6 kW, so the configurator gives the number of circuits, and we agree the connection to the church's electrical installation with an electrician.

Wider 6 × 2.5 m option, ICON 3.9 IP, nearest viewer at 10 m. Adjust the dimensions and distance from the pews to your church.

How much does an LED screen for a church cost

You buy a church big screen as a complete system, not just panels. According to the configurator (ICON 3.9 IP, viewer at 10 m, stands; net prices from the VEX catalogue, 13 October 2026), a 4 × 2.5 m screen (10 m²) costs about 132,000 PLN net: 40 cabinets plus 8 spares, 1024 × 640 px, VX600 Pro processor, power and flight cases. With hanging or wall mounting, the cost of the structure changes.

The site survey, installation and commissioning, data cabling, counterweights and delivery are priced separately. More examples: How much does an LED screen cost.

How a parish buys: configurator, survey, design, installation

  • 1. Configurator. You price the screen to scale and get a net price and a PDF sheet; we reply to enquiries within 1 business day.
  • 2. Site survey: 600 PLN net. We measure the nave, the screen position and power points; the fee is credited towards the project.
  • 3. Design and offer. We select the model, structure, power and processor; the screen is ordered from the manufacturer for your project.
  • 4. Installation and commissioning: from 3,800 PLN net. We set up the screen, connect it and calibrate colour and brightness across the cabinets.

A parish with a Polish tax ID (NIP) buys like any business: on a VAT invoice, with 23% VAT added to net prices. We sell screens for ownership and install them permanently; we do not offer rental.

Service and support: one partner from delivery to inspection

We take responsibility for all of it: selection, delivery, installation and service. The power supply, receiving card and HUB card form a replaceable 3-in-1 power box, and the 250 × 250 mm modules are universal and serviced from the front. The cabinets have a 2-year (24-month) manufacturer's warranty, after which we provide post-warranty service and replacement of individual modules. The installation should be inspected at least once a year. Installation and delivery are described on the LED screen installation page.

Frequently asked questions

Which LED screen should I choose for a church?
For most naves we choose ICON 3.9 IP (3.9 mm pitch, FOS viewing distance from 4 m, 4,500 nits). When the nearest pew is in the 4–5 m band, the configurator suggests ICON 2.9 Hybrid (on request). The finest model, ICON 2.6, designed for indoor use only, has a FOS viewing distance from 3 m. We size the screen in 0.5 m steps.
How much does a church big screen cost?
According to the configurator (13 October 2026), a set with ICON 3.9 IP, structure, power, processor and flight cases costs about 132,000 PLN net for a 4 × 2.5 m screen on stands. The site survey (600 PLN net) and installation and commissioning (from 3,800 PLN net) are priced separately. With hanging or wall mounting, the cost of the structure changes.
From what distance can an LED screen be seen in a church?
For ICON 3.9 IP the FOS viewing distance is 4 m, and the configurator selects this model for viewers further than 5 m away. The further the pew, the smoother the picture. The screen's viewing angle is 160° / 140°, so the picture is also visible from the side pews. For pews closer than 3 m we discuss a different solution.
Can an LED screen be installed in a listed church?
In a listed church, check the requirements with the heritage conservation officer before you order anything. Technically, the screen can stand on a floor structure without drilling into the wall, or hang from the building's load-bearing points. We agree the mounting method and floor load with you during the site survey, before the design.
Can I connect a computer with hymn lyrics and a camera to the screen?
Yes. The NovaStar VX600 Pro processor accepts the picture via HDMI and SDI and from a flash drive (USB 3.0), so you can connect a computer, video mixer or camera. You run hymn lyrics, readings and presentations in the software you already use; the screen shows whatever the source sends and scales the picture to its own dimensions.
Won't an LED screen be too bright in a church?
ICON 3.9 IP has 4,500 nits, which keeps the picture visible near windows during the day. You dim the brightness in 256 steps, for example after dark or in a darker part of the nave. You can set the colour temperature within 3,000–10,000 K, and we calibrate the colour and brightness of the cabinets at commissioning.
