Stage LED screen: purchase for event companies and rental houses

A complete stage set, not just panels

Behind every panel there is a processor, power, beams, flight cases and configuration. With us you buy them on one quote, one pro forma and one VAT invoice, from a partner who also installs and services the screen. You do not assemble a kit from several shops or check whether the beam fits the panel: the frame, beam and flight case are shared across the whole series. Which model for stages, concerts and trade fairs

The choice starts with the distance to the nearest viewer and whether the screen stands under a roof. Our configurator selects the model the same way; more on pixel pitch in the guide how to choose the pitch.

Icon 2.6 is a screen for halls, clubs and trade fairs. Outdoors and in sunlit locations only the IP65 models work. ICON 2.9 Hybrid switches its settings between indoor and outdoor with one click, so one set can serve both a hall and a festival. You can combine cabinets with different resolutions in one screen.

Flight cases, 8 kg per cabinet and front service

• 8 cabinets per flight case. The Icon Flight Case has swivel castors, butterfly latches, ball corners and a foam insert; it holds 8 cabinets, i.e. 2 m² of screen.
• Shared hardware. The frame, beam and flight case fit all three models, so one logistics kit serves every screen.
• Batches of 8. FOS delivers screens only in flight cases and in multiples of 8; the screen dimensions change in 0.5 m steps.
• 8 kg and four modules. Die-cast aluminium, 500 × 500 × 83 mm, with 250 × 250 mm modules held by screws and magnets.
• Front service. The power supply, receiving card and HUB card sit in one quick-swap “3-in-1 power box” module.

Hanging, ground support and curves

You hang the screen on Icon Hanging Beam PRO beams (0.5 m, for hanging and for ground stacking) and ICON Led Clamp clamps for a Ø 42–58 mm pipe or truss. Design a column for a maximum of 20 cabinets (the FOS manual's limit for a vertical column): that is 10 m high and about 160 kg of panels alone, with a safety cable. Horizontally, the number of cabinets is not limited.

A ground-supported screen does not stand on its own: it needs a ballasted structure, for example FOS LWS stands. We select the structure and ballast after the site survey, and the weights are bought separately.

The cabinets join at −5°, −2.5°, 0°, +2.5° and +5°, so the screen can form a concave or convex curve. At 5° between cabinets the curve radius is roughly 5.7 m, and a full circle takes 72 cabinets.

Power and signal: work out the circuits and processor

We design power for maximum load: 450 W/m² for Icon 2.6 and 600 W/m² for ICON 2.9 Hybrid and ICON 3.9 IP. A 6 × 3.5 m screen (21 m²) therefore draws up to 9.45 kW with Icon 2.6 or 12.6 kW with the IP65 models. The cabinets run on 100–240 V, require earthing (below 4 Ω) and must not be connected through a dimmer.

Data runs via Ethernet cable from the NovaStar processor to the cabinets, up to 120 m; beyond that you need fibre. The same 6 × 3.5 m screen with ICON 2.9 Hybrid has 84 cabinets and 2016 × 1176 px, and a single VX600 Pro handles it. Processor selection: NovaStar LED screen processor.

How to buy: from configuration to a working screen

• 1. Configuration. Enter the viewing distance, dimensions and mounting method; you get a net price in five blocks and a PDF sheet.
• 2. Design. For larger setups we do a site survey for 600 PLN net, credited towards the project.
• 3. Order. We order from the manufacturer per project, in batches of 8 cabinets; the lead time is confirmed in the offer. We add a service spare to the screen: 5% of the cabinets, minimum 2, topped up to a full case of 8.
• 4. Installation and commissioning. From 3,800 PLN net, with colour and brightness calibration across the cabinets.

Service and a responsible partner

• 2-year manufacturer's warranty on ICON cabinets.
• Front replacement. You replace a single module without dismantling the whole screen, and the power box is quick-swap; we handle warranty claims and post-warranty service.
• Inspections. The manufacturer requires installation by qualified technicians and an inspection at least once a year. The Priority and Managed packages of VEX service support include periodic inspections, and Priority also a check-up before an important event.
